FROM THE SHORES (for Necromance #2/2017)

Interview was prepared by David Déniz (for Necromance)

Hi guys! Welcome to Necromance Digital Magazine pages, could you give us a brief history of the band and the actual line up?
FTS: Hi and thank you. The band was born in Venice in 2008. After plenty of shows, an Ep, a promo and some line up changes, in 2014 we literally reborn. In december 2016 we released our first album and did our first full european tour with Six Feet Under.

Give in more detail, some information about your latest album “Of apathy”
FTS: We spent many years writing the album. Then we hit Hate Studio in Vicenza, Italy, and took our time to record, mix and master the album. Then we focused on the album artwork which, for us, is an essential part of the entire work. We tried to take our time to do our best on this record.

How would you describe your music? And what bands have influenced you the most?
FTS: We play blackened death metal. I could name Dissection, At The Gates, Emperor and The Black Dahlia Murder as influencing bands.

What is the difference between your latest and your first EP?
FTS: The line up who recorded the album is very different. Our new album has been composed mainly by our guitarist Leo, although everybody has worked on their own parts. Also the sound is really different. Our Ep was still influenced by metalcore, the new album has more death and black metal in It, and we got rid of breakdowns and stuff like that.

Which ones happens to be your favourite songs on “Of apathy”?
FTS: ‘Weakness Of The Flesh’ is the one we consider our best so far.

This álbum was released by Metal Scrap records, what can you tell us about you signing with them?
FTS: We got a few offers from some labels for the album release. The guys at Metal Scrap gave us the best conditions to publish the album worldwide with their good distribution and relentless work.

What does the band plan on doing in near time? Any tours, gigs for promotion of latest album?
FTS: We have lot of plans. More news will come in the next few weeks.fromtheshoresnecromance

What do you feel about the Metal Scene there in your country?
FTS: Our country is full of bands of every genre and Europe and the US seem to be really interested in them.

And do you know something about spanish scene?
FTS: Back in the MySpace days we were in contact with some bands from Spain, such as The Band Apart. We know Spain has a lot of good bands and clubs, especially in the metal and punkrock scene.

Anything you would like to add to end the interview?
FTS: Thank you for your time, our album is available on the major online platforms, give it a listen. Stay tuned with all of our future stuff here
