Tironas 6Kadar are extreme metal band coming out from Kazakhstan. Not too much information about this musical formation and metal scene from Kadar's origin region, but I can mention that the band started their activity since 2009 and until now has released one EP entitled "Infidel" and the most recent debut album entitled "Essence". Musically speaking, Kadar play neither death metal nor thrash metal, but there are elements of both, united under some progressive music elements. Of course I don't want to make anyone think that Kadar by releasing debut "Essence", that sum-up a few music genres, are going to reshape nowadays music or even give it a totally new direction. No way! "Essence" is merely a pretty good effort featuring some catchy, energetic tunes with quite a few enjoyable moments. It seems like Kadar know for what sound they are going ahead. They are capable of coming up with good melodies, decent riffs and a solid rhythm section. Their distorted and not well purified vocals production is probably Kadar's major problem, but it isn't a huge detraction either. Kadar have a better sense of dynamics than most of their contemporaries, which meant the album had a good flow. Although not spectacular, "Essence" is surprisingly enjoyable debut.

New bands pops up in all corners of the world like wild weeds. We're heading to Kazakhstan, where we find the progressive metal duo Kadar.
Ruslan Isayev (bass and vocals) and Zufar Sydykov (guitar and keyboards) formed the band in 2009. In August 2014 they released their first mini-album, and here we are served another one. Though, Metal-Archives defines the first one as EP and this as a full length album.
Essence almost reaches half an hour. With eight songs it also feels more like a bit short full length than as an overgrown EP. Two releases of between 20 and 30 minutes at least gives the band a smooth start.
The band serves a wide range of styles that still flows natural and coherent via fairly hassle free joints and with good melodies as binder. With good instrumentation and sound they reach their goal successfully.
Portions of the vocal and methodology can surely be seen as a bit too poppy for extreme metalheads, and similarly can some elements, like growling, be a bit much to swallow for prog-rockers. Still, Kadar don't seek out the extremes. Essence should definitely be of audible art for most. Personally I crave the soft solo guitar over the irascible drum patterns in Spider Moves, where they make contrasts feel like the most natural thing.
The band is not the type to pack every musical brand into one song, or to swear to the most abrupt transitions. Natural flow has a higher priority. They leave nutty mood swings for others to take care of.
Essence is most likely hardly a must, even among larger progg-heads, but Kadar is certainly a pleasant acquaintance, which anyone with a versatile music taste can check out.

Gorger (Gorger's Metal)

Kadar are a duo from Kazakhstan that have been featured before in this zine and plays a progressive mixture of death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2015 ep "Essence" which was released by Metal Scrap Records.
An acoustic guitar intro starts off the ep giving the music more of a progressive feeling with its mixture of finger picking and full chords before going into more of a melodic and heavier thrash metal direction and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and the solos and leads also demonstrate a great amount of melody, talent and skill.
Elements of groove can be heard in the music at times and the vocals are mostly death metal growls and when the music speeds up a small amount of blast beats can be heard along with the riffs getting more catchy while the music usually for the most part sticks to more of a mid paced musical direction and the last track brings in a touch of jazz and they close with an acoustic outro.
With this recording Kadar plays a style of death/thrash metal that is still very progressive while being more guitar driven this time around and dropping the keyboards that where present on previous recordings, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Kadar and if you are a fan of progressive death/thrash metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Night" and "Black Train".

The universality of Metal never ceases to surprise my old eyes and ears…
Yes, because some countries in the world have bands. And in all my years as a Metallian, I never heard about a Metal scene on them. This time, the excellent band KADAR comes from Kazakhstan, and is unleashing a very good work on "Essence", their second EP.
They play a way of melodic Technical Death Metal. These simple worlds really can distort what they are really about because their melodies are really catching, with the technique being a consequence of their work, not their main reason to play. And besides the style defined by the label is nothing really new, these two guys are really making a fine piece of music, with melodies of easy assimilation, very good grunts, excellent guitars, and fine work on rhythmic basis created by bass guitar and drums.
In terms of sound quality, I can say that the production was done in a very good and careful way. All the musical instruments are sounding with excellent tunes; the songs have a heavy weight, and they sound clear and aggressive in both ways, in a very good balance between these two aspects. So we can really get the best of their work.
All the six songs are excellent.
"The Night" has a hooking instrumental, along with charming melodies, excellent guitars and good grunts. On "Spider Moves", their more aggressive orientated side appears due the impact of the song, but the guitar solos are extremely good and melodic, using tender technique. An abrasive feeling fills "Essence", with a fine dynamic between the bass guitar and drums, with slow hooking tempos. On "Alexandria", the contrast between melodies and aggressiveness is great, and the guitars are amazing once more. "Paranoia" is a bit more aggressive, because the not so fast tempos help in this way, with good work on vocals and bass guitar. And "Black Train" is really an attack of massive riffs, savage grunts and lesser melodic than the previous songs, but the abrasive arrangements on guitars and rhythmic session are good.
With a better sound quality, these guys can conquer the fans on Europe as soon as possible!
